"Athens 2004" ProjectsFor the needs of the Olympic Games of Athens 2004, a series of important structures and athletic installations were constructed. Kanon Consulting played a vital and critical role in some of the most important ones. Specifically, between the years 2001-2004, our firm not only actively participated in many of these projects during the tendering phase (for example: Equestrian Center in Markopoulo, Panthessaliko and Panpeloponesian Stadium, International Broadcasting Center), but also during the final design and construction phase as well. Either alone or in cooperation with other firms, KANON CONSULTING undertook the structural design implementation for the following works:  Aesthetic integration of Athens Olympic Sports Complex"KANON CONSULTING" was a member of the group of Greek firms that cooperated with the firm "Santiago Calatrava S.A." for the design of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex, Oct. 2001- Jan. 2002. Our firm undertook the development of the implementation design for the entirety of the concrete civil works of the surrounding area. During the construction phase of the project, our firm cooperated with the two main contractors not only for the design of provisional structures and the erection of the steel roof of the Olympic Stadium and the Velodrome, but also for the modification and completion of the initial designs, where necessary.
 Structures for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic GamesDesigned all related structures in cooperation with the firms "F. Karidakis - J. Mavrakis" and "Jack Morton," who held responsibility for the successful carrying out of the ceremonies.
 Construction of the International Broadcasting Center (I.B.C.)Reinforced concrete structural design development in cooperation with the firm responsible for the steel structures, "F. Karidakis - J. Maurakis".
 Installations for the Modern Pentathlon and Badminton in the location "Goudi"Design development in cooperation with the firm "DOMI S.A."
